Our client has an opening for a strong Project Engineer required in Qatar.Detailed InformationThe Job Purpose: Coordinate projects in the assigned areas to ensure project technical objectives are met within the approved scope, budget, and schedule. Key Areas:  Coordinate conceptual design work and prepare deliverables packages. Assist as required in both design and EPC contracting activities. Prepare and deliver ongoing management updates and reviews. Review and monitor facilities design. Coordinate input from other specialists in support of project execution. Coordinate the engineering aspects of the project design in support of the project objectives. Monitor contractors design performance and provide advice to ensure Company's design goals, design philosophy and specifications are achieved. Monitors and reviews contractor's engineering effort and offers recommendations to Engineering Manager and Project Engineers. Coordinate and/or provide timely review of contractor's designs. Coordinates and/or provide support to the procurement and construction activities. Supports risk management activities such as Design Risk Assessment and HAZOP. Provide support to Operations and Commissioning advisors. Works in an evolving business environment where expansion opportunities are being identified on a continuous basis adding additional complexity and workload to the existing project environment. Works effectively within established policies and procedures, and participates in the further development of these to meet changing needs. Works on large capital expenditure projects in a highly dynamic team environment that has tight-deadlines, high pressure and visibility, requiring accuracy, initiative and the ability to multi-task as essential skills. Demonstrates willingness to tackle a variety of tasks in response to evolving business needs. Communications and Working Relationships:  Interfaces among various project teams and departments on issues relating to the position.  This requires effective communication, initiative, flexibility and an ability to induce collaboration. Exhibits team leadership skills, integrity, interpersonal understanding, and self-confidence. Problem Solving/Complexity: Utilizes a systematic approach to problem solving that ensures accuracy, timeliness and quality of documentation in resolution. Able to work moderately complex tasks to completion within time constrains of Project, with minimal guidance from more experienced staff. Participates in the resolution of problems in more demanding and less familiar situations using precedent and own acquired knowledge. Decision Making Authority and Responsibility:  Able to work within a defined role with limited supervision. Able to make decisions and solve problems related to a specific discipline/field.   • Bachelor of Science in Engineering.

  • Good supervisory skills.
  • Minimum of fifteen (15) years technical experience in Utilities discipline and at least five (5) years specific involvement in project and major process facilities.
  • Experience with contractors and vendors, in particular, those involved in the construction of onshore facilities.
  • Experience with Gas Processing Processes.
