Job Details: Head Of Tax

The role sits within the group finance and tax team and reports into to the Group Financial Controller.
 
As Head Of Tax, The Successful Individual's Responsibilities Will Include:

• Overall management of the group effective tax rate
• Provision of advice on structuring, pricing and commercial / contractual qualifications in respect of tenders
• Provision of tax support to project teams
• Overall management of tax compliance activities globally
• Tax accounting and preparation of tax disclosures for stock exchange filings and statutory accounts
• Identification and implementation of tax planning opportunities globally
• Provision of support to executive management team and Group Financial Controller in respect of strategic projects, e.g. acquisitions, disposals, JVs

Requirements:

• ACA/CA and/or CTA qualified
• Worked in a corporate tax role, with strong international tax and accounting skills
• Positive and energetic with strong leadership & interpersonal skills
• Willingness to undertake some international travel

• Presents self in a professional manner appropriate to the role
• Articulates views in comprehensive manner
• Produces work of presentable quality

Skills:

• Strong interpersonal skills necessary
• Strong international and tax technical skills
• Strong leadership skills 

Qualifications and Education:

• Degree qualified with either tax or accounting professional qualification

Experience:

• Experience of working in a international tax role is essential
• Experience of working in a tax role within an oil services company would be an advantage.
• Able to work autonomously
