A major LNG production company in the Middle East requires a Drilling Engineer to support the contracting and procurement phase of a short onshore drilling campaign.
Typical work scope includes:
- Write technical specifications and scope of work for materials and drilling services - Respond to technical clarifications from vendors - Perform technical evaluation of bids - Support commercial evaluation of bids - Provide technical support for contract award - Set up a contract management plan - Support initial orders and call-offs
In addition the Drilling Engineer may be requested to provide some operations support for offshore drilling operations using jack-up rigs.
Profile of the candidate:
- Experienced Drilling Engineer who has been involved in the early contracting phase of drilling projects - Experience with the tendering processes in large international oil companies - Experience in managing oilfield contracts - Technically strong - Fluent in English, particularly in formal technical English
The client is looking for someone who is immediately available (ideally within 1-2 weeks). The duration is circa 6 months and the client will be offering a day rate with a monthly living allowance.
